Telescopic Flange Butterfly Valve: Installation and Operation Precautions
To ensure long-term safe and stable operation, the following installation and operation precautions must be strictly observed:
1. Pre-installation Preparation
Store the valve in a flat position and protect it from impact or collision.
The factory-set structural length is at its minimum. During installation, extend it to the designed length as required.
If the actual pipeline spacing exceeds the designed length, adjust the pipe distance accordingly. 2. Bracket and Limiting Bolt Setup
For thermal expansion compensation: After pipeline installation, brackets must be installed at both ends along the pipeline axis to prevent the telescopic tube from being pulled out.
For installation and maintenance convenience only: Use through-bolts to symmetrically clamp and limit the valve. The bolt strength must meet the requirements of test pressure and pipeline tension.
Important: Do not remove brackets or limiting bolts during valve operation.
3. Installation Operation Requirements
The valve can be installed in any position, but the pipelines on both ends must be concentric, and the flange faces must be parallel.
Tighten fixing bolts symmetrically; avoid tightening forcibly on one side to prevent uneven stress.
The telescopic tube should be installed downstream of the valve.
The telescopic section must not be installed at pipeline bends or dead ends.
4. On-site Maintenance Requirements
Do not disassemble the valve arbitrarily on-site.
Avoid repeatedly extending or compressing the telescopic section on-site, as this may compromise sealing performance and fit accuracy.
