Double offset butterfly valve is also known as high-performance butterfly valves. It means that the shaft of the double offset butterfly valve is both mounted slightly offset from the pipe centerline and mounted behind the sealing band of the seat. Typically speaking, the double offset butterfly valve are self-closing due to dynamic torque. That have reduced breakout torque as well as reduced dynamic torque during the whole operation. Double offset butterfly valves are able to provide excellent controllability, bubble tight shut off, greater seat life and smooth operation. As a result, they can be widely used in chemical, petroleum, hydrocarbons processing and pulp & paper industries.
