The Dynamic characteristics is the key of butterfly valves
Bcuz For many years, people only considered a number of traditional factors when they chose butterfly valve, however, over the past 10 years, the valve design has made much progress, which weakened the importance of many previously traditional factors.
Dynamic characteristics
Although some traditional factors are still important, but they are only
biased towards the gate valve of the “static” performance. In fact they
are in the “table” on the valve to measure the results obtained, but it
is difficult to explain the results of the valve in the actual
operating conditions will be shown what kind of performance. Traditional
theory holds that the static factors will carefully adjust the steel butterfly
valve (and hence in the loop) to obtain good performance. Now, however,
we recognize that this is not always the case.
In fact, up to 50% in the control loop with a valve for optimizing the performance failed to produce much effect. Subsequent studies have shown that the dynamic characteristics of the valve in reducing process variability played an important role. In many critical processes, reduce process variability of different valve even if the difference between the rate of 1% can significantly increase productivity and reduce waste. It is clear that the economic benefits of this so we can negate the traditional approach, that is only the initial purchase price under the water butterfly valve to decide whether to buy.
Secondly, the traditional opinion is, the upgrade of process optimization is always from the control room instrumentation. However, the test data showed that, in condition of the same control instrument, the dynamic characteristics of the globe valve can have a significant impact on the circuit performance. If the precision control valves can only reach 5%, then spending a lot of money to configure a set of advanced control instrumentation systems, whose control precision can reach 0.5%, will not play too much.
